Bobbye Webb Shipp

Staff report

Bobbye Webb Shipp, 87, of Louisville, formerly of Paducah, Ky., passed away at 2:59 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014, at her residence.

Bobbye was a retired executive secretary for the Humana Corporation. She was a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church, where she had served as secretary to the pastor and was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Paducah, where she also served as secretary to the pastor.

Bobbye is survived by her four daughters, Greer Shipp of Atlanta, Ga., Robyn Shipp of Plantation, Fla., Marty Cogan of Birmingham, Ala., and Holly Buchanan of Albuquerque, N.M.; three grandchildren, Travis Hutcherson, Brent Warren Buchanan and Bonnie Cogan; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Warren Webb and Addie Mae Tucker Webb, who owned and operated the former Webb's Grocery Store in Paducah.

Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating.

Burial will follow in the Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
