Noah Neace

METROPOLIS, Ill. - Noah S. Neace, age 93, of Metropolis, Ill., passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014, at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilation Center at 10:40 a.m.

Graveside services with military rites will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014, in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Chuck Blair officiating.

Mr. Neace was a World War II Navy veteran.

Noah is survived by two sons, Noah S. Neace Jr. and wife Cheryl of Henderson, Nev., and Gary W. Neace of Jefferson, Texas; four grandchildren, Kevin Neace of Dallas, Texas, Suzanne Neace of Webster, N.Y., Christopher Neace and wife Elizabeth of Las Vegas, Nev., and Dawn Saathoff of Reno, Nev.; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler J. Neace, Kendall Neace, Ashley Saathoff, Brittany Saathoff, Noah K. Neace, Avery Neace, Taylor Neace, McKenzie Neace and Brooklyn Neace; one sister, Alma Blair and husband Chuck of Clinton, Ky.; one brother, Charles Neace and wife Eula of Belvidere, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Grace (Dorway) Neace; wife of over 40 years, Doris Neace; and eight brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
