Mary L. Stewart

Staff report

BENTON - Mary L. Stewart, 79, of Benton passed away at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at her home.

Mary was a member of the South Marshall Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Terry Spiker and Jimmy Spiker, both of Benton; a brother, Earl McLeod of Benton ; a sister, Velda Street of Benton ; seven grandchildren, Terra Spiker, Kaylin Spiker, James Thomas Spiker, Danny Spiker, Talon Walker, Adrianna Walker and Landon Walker; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Danny Spiker and Billy Spiker; six brothers, Louis McLeod, Jimmy McLeod, Troy McLeod, Wayne McLeod, Jack McLeod and George McLeod; and two sisters, Louise Wood and Sue Cooper. Her parents were Claude McLeod and Lena Henson McLeod.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Filbeck-Cann and King Funeral Home. The Rev. Tim Cole will officiate and burial will follow in the Haymes Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Filbeck-Cann and King Funeral Home.
