Frances L. Holland

Staff report

Services for Frances L. Holland will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Flagg officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Holland, 86, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014, at her residence.

A native of Swan Lake, Miss., she attended the schools of Swan Lake, Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, and graduated from Lincoln High School in Paducah. She was a member, for over 50 years, of the former 7th Street Baptist Church and the present Macedonia Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Holland; one son, Michael Leon Holland; one daughter, Evelyn Carol Cox; and one brother. Her parents were Tom and Lee Ella Johnson.

She is survived by one son, Patrick Holland of Bowling Green, Ky.; one daughter, Renee McCrary of San Antonio, Texas; three brothers; four sisters; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to: Macedonia Baptist Church Building Fund, 830 Oscar Blvd, Paducah, KY 42003.

Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Mundy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
