Phyllis Taylor

VIENNA, Ill. - Phyllis Ann Taylor, 75, of Springfield, formerly of Vienna, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She worked many years as a nursing home administrator before her retirement. She was a member of Vienna First United Methodist Church and later the Chatham United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Michael Taylor of Chatham; two daughters, Susan Taylor of Springfield and Sara Pieterse of Connecticut; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer H. Taylor; one brother; and one sister. Her parents were William and Ruby Leone (Murrie) Mount.

Memorial services will be at noon Monday, July 7, 2014, at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Interment will be in Gilead Cemetery near Simpson.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Monday at the funeral home.
