Billy Stokes

MURRAY - Billy "Dan" Stokes, 83, of New Johnsonville, Tenn., and Louisville, formerly of Murray, died Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, Tenn.

He was a retired truck driver, of the Baptist faith and a member of the Kilwinning Masonic Lodge in Louisville.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma G. Stokes of Louisville; two daughters, Rhonda Boyd of Billings, Mont., and Kathy Marie Crum of St. John, Virgin Island; one son, Dan Allen Stokes of Las Vegas; one sister, Carolyn Draffenville of Paris, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Latricia Travis and twin sister, Anne Fox. His parents were Haley Stokes and Lorell (Cathey) Stokes.

Masonic service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014, at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at the funeral home.
