Walter Wilke

GILBERTSVILLE - Walter Lee "Butch" Wilke, 68, of Gilbertsville died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, at his home.

He served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 18 years in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judith Lee Swallow Wilke; two sons, Warren Lee Wilke of Lebanon, Tenn., and Jeffrey Lee Wilke of Fort Lewis, Wash.; five grandchildren, Dillon Stark of Fort Campbell, Tyler Wilke of Kinross, Mich., Emily Wilke of Clarksville, Tenn., Luke Wilke of White House, Tenn., and Liam Wilke of Lebanon, Tenn.; one brother, Robert Wilke of Henderson, Ky.; and two sisters, Kathy Gentry and Sue Fellman, both of Baytown, Texas.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. His parents were William W. Wilke and Cora E. Kimble Wilke.

Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Benton Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Mike Wilford will officiate.

Filbeck-Cann and King Funeral Home in Benton is in charge of arrangements.
