William Echols Jr.

MURRAY - Memorial services for William "Bill" Allen Echols Jr., 86, of Murray will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Murray Memorial Gardens Cemetery Chapel with military rites.

Mr. Echols died Monday, June 2, 2014, at his home.

Mr. Echols was a World War II veteran of the Army-Air Force and a member of the American Legion. He was a retired salesman and attended Eastwood Baptist Church,

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Agnes Echols; one son, William "Bill" Echols of Clayton, Ga.; three daughters, Karen Rushing of Clayton, Ga., Cindy DiBlasio of Parsons, Tenn., and Gina Walker of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Haywood Lee Echols of Yorktown, Va.; two sisters, Geraldine Blair of Memphis, Tenn., and Eleanor Liu of Topeka, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and a grandchild. His parents were William Allen Echols Sr. and Bertha Eunice Hall.

Friends may call from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, at Imes Funeral Home Downtown Murray.
