Evelene 'Shaffer' Waggener

BOAZ - Evelene 'Shaffer' Waggener, 76, of Boaz, KY., formerly of Morganfield, KY., departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior at 6:18 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Lourdes hospital.

She was an employee of Lourdes hospital for 25 years and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Metropolis, IL.

Evelene is survived by three children, Greg Brindley and wife Debbie of Virginia Beach, VA., Diane Salsbury and husband Tim of Boaz, KY., and Tim Brindley, wife Tammy of Valley Lee, MD., and stepson, Jerry Waggener of Morganfield, KY.; four grandchildren, Derek Doss and wife Jessica, Justin Doss and his fiancé Becky Brookshire, Joshua and Noah Brindley; two great-grandchildren, Bailey and William Doss; two sisters, Naomi McGrew and husband Bill of Houston, TX., and Adeline Price and husband Wayne of Buckhannon, WV.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.J. Waggener; a son, Mark Brindley; several brothers and sisters. Her parents were Ben and Adeline Walker Shaffer.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, KY.

Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery in Morganfield, KY.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, KY
