Nita Jo Bush Smith

WICKLIFFE - Nita Jo Bush Smith, age 52, of Wickliffe, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, in Cairo, Ill.

Mrs. Smith was a member of First Baptist Church of Wickliffe for 30 years, and was a member of the Ruth Class. She worked as a customer service representative for 13 years at First National Bank.

Her life was her family and her faith. She was looking forward to being "Ni Ni" to her first granddaughter, Baby Claire. Nita enjoyed spending time surrounded in the beauty of the outdoors with those she loved. She was always willing to try anything including hiking to be part of their lives. She just recently found the Big Dipper Stars in the night sky that she had searched for years to see. She was a special and loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Mike Smith; one son, Craig Smith and wife Caroline of Cape Coral, Fla.; two sisters, Carol Kachadorian and husband Mike of St. Clair, Mo., and Karen Marquart and husband Rick of Washington, Mo.; three brothers, Peter Bush and wife Sherry of Festus, Mo., Jim Bush of Camdenton, Mo., and Randy Bush and wife Zina of Union, Mo.; and one granddaughter, Claire Elizabeth Smith of Cape Coral, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Mickley Bush and Jessie Lea Moore Bush; and one brother, Phillip Bush.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Wickliffe with the Rev. Lynn Releford officiating. Burial will follow in Wickliffe City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe and after 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the church.
