ARLINGTON - Martha Ann Overton Wilson, 81, passed peacefully in her sleep at her home near Arlington on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Formerly of Madisonville, Ky., she has been a resident of Hickman County with her husband David C. Wilson since 1999.
Martha was a former member of First Baptist Church Madisonville and current member of Arlington First Baptist Church. She worked as Madisonville City Clerk and a bookkeeper for Naomi's Vogue of Madisonville and Metcalfe Landscaping.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents R.T. and Mattie Russell Overton of Madisonville; and her sisters, Marietta Carneal of Madisonville and Jane Nollmann of Henderson, Ky.
Martha leaves behind her husband of 57 years, David C. Wilson; three sons, David C. Wilson II of Clinton, Jonathan C. Wilson (Markida) of Sacramento, Ky., and Robert R. Wilson (Denise) of Madisonville; three grandsons, Brad Scott, Ben Wilson and Nathan Wilson; and one great-granddaughter, Lexi Scott.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with the Rev. David Sphinx officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be held after 4 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville, Ky. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Harris Funeral Home with burial to follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.
