Teresa Weaver

Staff report

Teresa Marlene Gentry Weaver, 55, of Smithland, passed away peacefully at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Baptist Health Paducah with her family and friends by her side. She had courageously battled cancer for the past 20 months.

Teresa was a homemaker and a member of Grand Rivers United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Weaver of Smithland; her daughter, Jatoshia Weaver of Smithland; her two sons, Joshua Hatfield and Jacob Weaver, both of Smithland; her father and stepmother, Haze and Josie Gentry of Grand Rivers; two stepsisters, Debbie Hubbard and Laura Sue Rice, both of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; her stepbrother, Michael Hubbard of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; six grandchildren; numerous cousins; and one special cousin and friend Glen Wells who was by her side throughout; several aunts and uncles and friends that were always there for her.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Jeffery Weaver; her brother, Ricky Dwayne Gentry; and her mother and stepfather, Peggy Wells Hubbard and Earl Hubbard; her maternal grandparents; and paternal grandparents.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Bro. Mark Gill will officiate and burial will follow in Dixon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
