Phyllis Ann Walker, 77, of Paducah, formerly of Boaz, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at 11:48 a.m. at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Patsy, as she was known, was born in Paducah on June 17, 1936, to Charles and Jessie Thompson. She participated in the Rainbow Girls and was a longtime member of the Eastern Star. She was part owner and operator of Small World Day Care. She attended Houser Grove Church Of Christ and Victory Assembly Worship Center. Patsy was a spiritual person who will be remembered for her love of children and enjoyment of life.
Patsy is survived by her daughter, Susie Walker and Michael Hett of Paducah; her sons, Bob L. Walker and wife Carol of Graves County, Joey Mason Walker of Paducah, Allie Mason Walker and wife Mary of Louisville; her brother, Jerry Thompson and wife Lana of Boaz; her brother-in-laws, Chuck of Peoria, Ill. and Gary of Golconda, Ill.; her sister-in-law, Margie of Peoria, Ill.; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray "Junior" Walker; her parents, Charles B. Thompson and Jessie Gladys Lewis Thompson; and one sister.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at 12 p.m. noon at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Houser Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Gary DeRossett officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 21, 2014, from 2-5 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
