Don McBride

METROPOLIS, Ill. - Don McBride, age 79, of Metropolis, Ill., is renewed and rejoicing in Heaven after passing away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, in Indianapolis, Ind.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Pastor Gary DeRossett officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Mr. McBride was born January 25, 1935, in Massac County, Ill., to John "Chester" McBride and Sophia "Rebecca" (Hinners) McBride.

Don is survived by his daughters, Theress (McBride) Fearrin of Waveland, Ind., and Melodie (McBride) Kent and husband Brian of Greenwood, Ind.; three grandchildren, James Paul, Michael Fearrin, and Delanie Kent; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lee McBride; and a brother.

Visitation will be held from noon until the funeral hour at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.
