Michael Madden

Staff Report

Michael Madden, 36, of Paducah, KY., formerly of Calvert City passed away at 6:20 A.M. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Michael was a member of the Pathway Baptist Church, but when he moved to Paducah he began attending and worshipping with the congregation of the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Paducah. He loved their style of worship, and became very close to the members there. Michael worked in the maintenance department at West Kentucky Community & Technical College, from where he was an alumnus. He never met a stranger, and lived life with a smile in spite of the health challenges he had faced since birth.

He is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Denise Madden of Mayfield, Kentucky; his parents, Pamela Foster Madden of Reidland, Kentucky and Larry and Robbie Madden of Calvert City, Kentucky; and one stepbrother, Craig Jones of Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Marvin and Lydia Madden and his maternal grandparents, Wanda McCullough and Howell Gross.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Calvin R. Cole and Pastor Mike Donald will officiate and burial will follow in the Marshall County Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends after 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
