CALVERT CITY - Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Louise Willett, 86, of Calvert City, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City. Mrs. Willett was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She worked for many years at Hutchens Restaurant as a waitress, and retired from Benton True Value. She was the co-owner of Benton Locker Plant.
Born Tuesday, February 28, 1928, in Fancy Farm, she was the daughter of the late Aubry Carrico and the late Mae Carrico. She was the wife of the late James Leon Willett.
Surviving are daughters, Marilyn Derington of Benton and Ellen Erwin of Benton; brother, Bob Carrico of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Anna Elliott of Fancy Farm; grandchildren, Craig Hanley of Calhoun, Ga., Brandi Campbell of Herrin, Ill., Emily Erwin of Louisville and Amy Erwin of Murray; and great-grandchildren, Rachel Hanley of Calhoun, Ga., and Nate and Luke Campbell of Herrin, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons, Steve Willett and James Leon Willett Jr.; brother, Rudy Carrico; sisters, Lennora Carrico, Lena Willett and Ruth Sutherland; and one great-grandchild, Leni Campbell.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm with Father Anthoni Ottagan officiating. Interment will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery in Fancy Farm.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at Collier Funeral Home with rosary at 7 p.m.
