Robert 'Bob' G. Hedden

BENTON - Mr. Robert "Bob" G. Hedden, age 86, of Benton, KY., passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014, at 2:28 A.M. at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.

Born Sunday, July 3, 1927, in Memphis, TN., he was the son of the late Dr. Henry Hedden, M.D. and the late Freda (Paterson) Hedden. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Zions Cause Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Judy (Boyd) Hedden of Benton, KY.; two daughters, Holly Hedden of Canal Winchester, OH., and Sherrie Hedden of Cincinnati, OH.; one brother, William "Bill" Hedden of Magnolia, AR.; two granddaughters, Amanda Moll of Canal Winchester, OH., and Melanie Moll of Reynoldsburg, OH. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife, Norma (Petty) Hedden, one brother, Dr. Henry Hedden Jr.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Dr. Charles Frazier will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, KY.

Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, February 17, 2014, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Brenda McClaran, 510 West 9th St., Benton, KY 42025.
