Sciqulla Chandler

Staff report

LOWES - Marbeth Sciqulla Cox Chandler, 98, of Lowes, Ky., passed away Monday, January 27, 2014, at her residence.

Sciqulla was a member of Owens Chapel United Methodist Church, and a homemaker. She was a true farmer's wife as she worked beside her late husband, Carl Chandler, with the cattle and with the crops. She was a native of Land Between the Lakes in Lyon County.

Survivors include her longtime friends and caregivers, Jimmy and Janice Nicholson of Mayfield, Ky.; one nephew, Tim Watkins of Benton, Ky.; and one niece, Pam Reed of Benton, Ky.

Preceding in death were her husband, Carl Chandler; parents, William Cox and Etta M. Wilcox Cox; and one sister, Genola V. Cox Watkins.

Services will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014, at 12 noon at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Cemetery in Land Between the Lakes in Lyon County.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014, until service time at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
