Christina 'Tina' Swearingen

LOUISVILLE - Christina Lynn "Tina" Swearingen, 32, of Louisville, formerly of Paducah, died Friday, January 10, 2014, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.

She graduated from Lone Oak High School in 2000 and from Murray State University in 2003 and 2008. She was a Customer Service Manager at the Bashford Manor Walmart in Louisville.

Christina is survived by grandparents, John and Daisy Hess of Pennsylvania; parents, Donald and Linda Swearingen of Paducah; two sisters, Elizabeth "Beth" Schmitt of Mayfield and Katherine "Katie" Dodd of Knoxville, Tenn.; five aunts and uncles; 11 cousins; and four nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by a multitude of friends, especially her roommate, Sarah Jones, and her beloved Joshua Satterly.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Archie and Doris Swearingen.

Christina loved the people around her and was always ready to help someone in need. She believed in living out her Christian faith. She doted on children; the children knew it and loved her too.

A memorial service is being planned for March 22, 2014, at Lone Oak United Methodist Church in Paducah. Details are currently incomplete. When the details are finalized, they will be posted on her Facebook page.
