Robert Yates

Staff report

Robert "Bobby" Yates, 44, of Paducah died at 4 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014, at his home.

He had worked as a driver for United Parcel Service and Coca-Cola. He was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church.

He is survived by his mother, Joan L. Venters Yates Bruyns, and his stepfather, Robert Bruyns of Paducah; one daughter, Katie Yates of Paducah; two sisters, Kimberly Yates and Julia Yates, both of Paducah; his grandfather, Leslie Venters of Paducah; two nieces; and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lee Yates; one brother; one sister; and his grandmother.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2014, at the Gospel Assembly Church with the Revs. Michael Hunt and Encil Edmonds officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, and after 11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Gospel Assembly Church, 2100 Ohio St., Paducah, KY 42003.
