William LaPass

Staff report

BENTON - William Vincent LaPass, 83, of Benton died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at his home.

He was a retired benefit administrator for the Social Security Administration. He served as a seaman apprentice in the U.S. Navy from 1948 until 1955.

He is survived by one sister, Mary Theresa Vollmer of South Holland, Ill.; two nephews, Jeffery Louis Vollmer of Schererville, Ind., and Stephen Taylor of Chicago; and one niece, Nancy Taylor of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. His parents were Louis William LaPass and Mary Winters LaPass.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014, in the St. Henry's Catholic Cemetery in Aurora.

There will be no visitation.
