WKCTC hosts 'Raising Global Children' author

Staff report

West Kentucky Community and Technical College's Hispanic Heritage and Multicultural clubs invite the public, especially educators, to an inspiring presentation by award-winning author Stacie Berdanan on Sept. 17.

Berdanan will address the need to "Go Global" and promote global awareness in students of all ages. Her speaking engagements include major universities, community colleges, educational groups and business consultants. Berdanan is also the keynote speaker for the 2014 Kentucky World Language Association fall conference in Lexington.

There will be two free presentations in Crounse Hall, Room 101, at West Kentucky Community and Technical College on Sept. 17.

High school teachers are encouraged to bring students to the 11 a.m. presentation. Berdanan will challenge students to think globally with her topic: Creating a Global Mindset for Success. RSVP by Sept. 1 by calling Carolyn Perry at 270-534-3205 if bringing students to the morning session.

The public presentation begins at 7 p.m. with refreshments afterwards. Berdanan will present both strategy and tactics for teachers and parents alike as detailed in her latest book, Raising Global Children.
