'Showcase' a chance to explore properties

Staff report

Paducah Main Street, in coordination with the Paducah Board of Realtors, independent realtors, and local business and property owners, is hosting Showcase Paducah this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in downtown Paducah and Lower Town.

Showcase Paducah is an opportunity to tour commercial and residential properties that are for sale or lease in downtown and Lower Town. The open house format allows anyone to tour the properties and ask questions of the real estate agent or property representative free of charge. Nearly two dozen properties will be open to the public to tour.

During the tour, Main Street director Melinda Winchester will be set up next to the gazebo at Second and Broadway streets to provide maps and to answer questions about financial incentives and tax credits.

"Many people have dreamed of opening their own business, expanding to a new location or owning property in Paducah's historic district. Showcase Paducah allows those interested in downtown or Lower Town the opportunity to see several properties at their leisure," said Winchester.

Properties that will be featured during Showcase Paducah include several Broadway addresses; buildings on Jefferson, Madison and Maiden Alley; and numerous other locations.

"The historic architecture and creative atmosphere make downtown and Lower Town enjoyable locations not only to visit but also to build a future," Winchester added.

For more information about Showcase Paducah, contact Melinda Winchester at 270-444-8690 or visit www.paducahmainstreet.org.
