Graves arts show seeks participants

Staff report

The annual Arts in the Community Show at the Ice House Gallery is in its 23rd year hosted by the Mayfield/Graves County Art Guild.

All visual and literary artists in the area are encouraged to participate in the exhibition. Those that are beginning to create art as well as those with more experience are invited to show their work.

Artists are asked to deliver their work now until July 26. It is free to participate, but artists are welcome to price their work for sale. The show will be going on through August.

In order to hang work, drawings and paintings must have wires on the frames or be matted. Poets and writers need to present their work either framed, matted or in a book form in order to be displayed.

The Mayfield/Graves County Art Guild is a non-profit community arts center funded through donations, memberships, grants and sponsorships. It is located in the historic Ice House on 120 N. Eighth Street in Mayfield.

For any questions, call the art center at 270-247-6971.
