July 31st marks the deadline of Heath, Lone Oak and Reidland High School alumni to submit a biography and photo to "The Final Yearbook," honoring the legacies of the three former high schools of McCracken County.
Officially titled "Heath, Lone Oak, and Reidland High Schools â “ A Century of Community Education and Excellence," the book will feature alumni's years at the school and post-graduate life as well as "then and now" photographs. "The Final Yearbook" is sponsored by alumni groups from the three high schools and will be published by Acclaim Press.
"This one-of-a-kind book will give alumni and students the opportunity to record their thumbprint in time, while sparking the memories of our friends and activities," said Acclaim Press Publishing Consultant Duane Sikes.
Alumni are invited to submit brief vignettes up to 150 words as well as school memories (500 words or less) and nostalgic photos.
Widows, friends and family members are also encouraged to send in biographies, photos and materials on behalf of their loved ones now passed on so that they, too, can be included in "The Final Yearbook."
