Police: Individual under house arrest assaulted officers

Staff report

The Kentucky State Police are investigating the escape of a man on home incarceration who allegedly assaulted two officers.

Joshua T. Fox, 29, is charged with first-degree escape, two counts of third-degree assault, and theft by unlawful taking, over $500. Police say he assaulted a Probation and Parole officer and an officer with the Mayfield Police Department when they tried to take him into custody for a parole violation Saturday morning.

According to the state police, Fox became combative when he learned of his arrest. During the struggle, he allegedly took Mayfield officer Logan Hampton's Taser and used it on Hampton. He then ran from his residence, dropping the stun gun outside.

State police, the Mayfield Police Department and the Graves County Sheriff's Office searched the area for several hours, but couldn't find Fox. Police have obtained warrants for his arrest.

Police said Fox is black, weighs about 250 pounds and stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black tank top and black shorts. Anyone with information about his location is asked to call 911 or contact the state police at 270-856-3721.
