10-mile Moonlight bike ride July 12

Staff Report

BikeWorld of Paducah and the Chain Reaction Cycling Club will host the first-ever 10-mile, full moon bike ride through the city streets of Paducah on July 12.

Individuals of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate in this event which will support the work of Paducah Cooperative Ministry.

Check-in, tailgating and preride entertainment begins at 8 p.m. at BikeWorld, located at 809 Joe Clifton Drive, with the ride kicking off at 10 p.m. Entry fee is $25 for adults, $20 for teams of 10 or more, and $15 for kids under 18. Register in person at BikeWorld or online at Active.com.

The ride is the brainchild of Erin and Justin Lewis, members of Chain Reaction Cycling Club, and Stephanie Moss, the financial development committee chair for PCM. They approached Hutch Smith and Martha Emmons, owners of BikeWorld and longtime supporters of PCM, and the event took off from there.

"We are so excited to be sponsoring and hosting this first-time event, along with the Chain Reaction Cycling Club," Emmons said. "PCM is a great cause and cycling is a fantastic activity the whole family can enjoy."
