WKCTC to hold information event this afternoon

Staff report

West Kentucky Community & Technical College is offering a free information event at Fulton Independent High School, 700 Stephen Beale Drive, from 3 to 6 p.m. today.

"Whether someone is beginning college for the first time from high school, coming back after many years, or has been displaced by the closing of Mid-Continent University, WKCTC Information Nights can help them make the next step to earning a college degree easier," said Nate Slaton, WKCTC interim dean of enrollment management, in a statement.

WKCTC representatives will answer questions and provide assistance with the admission and enrollment process, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, available programs and services, and more.

Students who register for classes and need to apply for financial aid need to bring proper documentation including ACT scores, transcripts and tax information.

Individuals who are unable to attend can visit WKCTC to register for classes.

The walk-in hours for WKCTC's START Center, Financial Aid, and admissions/records, advising and business offices will be 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday.

For more information about WKCTC Information Nights, contact Trent Johnson, WKCTC START Center coordinator, at 270-534-3302 or tjohnson0135@kctcs.edu.

For more information about enrolling at WKCTC, call 855-GO-WKCTC or visit westkentucky.kctcs.edu.
