Calipari to speak at Carson Center

Staff report

University of Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari will appear at the Carson Center June 22 to speak and introduce his new book, "Players First, Coaching from the Inside Out."

Calipari has been traveling the country promoting the book. Throughout his book, he reveals his greater ambitions for his young players, motivating them to better their lives and challenging them to give back to others in need.

Tickets are on sale with prices ranging from $27 to $72 and can be purchased at the Carson Center Box Office weekdays from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. or online at www.thecarsoncenter.org.

Immediately following the speaking event, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the new book, and Calipari will be on hand to sign copies. He will be signing only copies of his book purchased at the event and will not be signing any memorabilia or stopping for posed pictures.
