Entrepreneurship, exporting June chamber breakfast topics

Entrepreneurship and exporting will be among the topics at the June Power in Partnership monthly breakfast of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce.

Brad Thomas, project manager, Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, will be the featured speaker June 7 at the Julian Carroll Convention Center. In addition, two area businesses involved in entrepreneurship and exporting will be recognized.

Thomas leads a team working with entrepreneurs, Kentucky's largest business sector, and manages the Kentucky Export Initiative (KEI), coordinating international trade opportunities for Kentucky businesses. KEI, composed of government entities, business organizations and trade specialists, seeks to increase exports and help create jobs and diversified markets for Kentucky products. Thomas has also worked with the Tax Increment Financing program since its inception.

The current Leadership Paducah Class will also be recognized. Lourdes hospital is the June breakfast sponsor.

The breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. The cost is $15 for members and $25 for non-members. Non-power cardholders should make reservations by 5 p.m. Tuesday to the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce at 270-443-1746 or at info@paducahchamber.org.
