Lindsey Wilson recruiting MCU students

Another Kentucky college will host an event to reach out to displaced Mid-Continent University students.

Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia will host two transfer information meetings in the Purchase area for Mid-Continent students. The sessions will be at 6 p.m. Monday at West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative, 1218 W. Broadway in Mayfield, and at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Heartland Worship Center, 4777 Alben Barkley Drive in Paducah.

Officials from the college's academic affairs, admissions, financial aid and registrar's offices will attend. All students who were enrolled at Mid-Continent are eligible to apply to transfer to Lindsey Wilson, according to Denise Fudge, vice president for educational outreach and student financial services.

Financial aid is available for summer classes, which begin in less than three weeks. Lindsey Wilson College academic programs include 21 bachelor's degrees offered at the liberal arts college's A.P. White Campus in Columbia, a online bachelors programs in business administration and criminal justice, and the bachelor's degree in human services and counseling offered at 26 community campuses, including at Paducah and Hopkinsville.
