Paducah man injured in ATV wreck

Staff report

A Paducah man remains in the hospital following an accident on an all-terrain vehicle Saturday, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.

Police received a call about 5:30 p.m. from a motorist who found an individual lying next to a three-wheeler in the middle of Metropolis Lake Road. Roy Glisson, 32, of West Paducah was found by officers unconscious. He then woke up and became combative with officials who were assessing his injuries.

Prior to the accident, Glisson was driving northbound on Metropolis Lake Road, when he lost control of the vehicle and it overturned. He was not wearing a helmet at the time. No other vehicles were involved and toxicology results for Glisson are pending, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.

Police said he was taken to Baptist Health Paducah and had surgery for a head injury Saturday. He was in serious condition as of Sunday night.
