Several attractions at Land Between the Lakes will reopen today.
They include the Golden Pond Visitors Center; North and South Welcome Stations; Energy Lake; Hillman Ferry, Piney, and Wranglers campgrounds, as well as the Elk & Bison Prairie, Golden Pond Planetarium, Homeplace Interpretive Center, and Woodlands Nature Station. The Homeplace farm site and Turkey Bay Off-Highway Vehicle Area, however, will remain closed.
The 1 p.m. Fort Henry anniversary program will take place inside the Homeplace Interpretive Center, but the 3 p.m. Fort Henry Trail walk has been canceled. For other LBL programs, check LBL's calendar of events at www.lbl.org/CALGate.asp
LBL's main roads are clear of ice and snow, but many other roads have not been treated and have several slick spots. Staff members recommend that the public wait to visit until mid-morning at the earliest today.
