Feb. 27 forum to weigh rail plan

A public meeting on the state's Rail Plan will be Feb. 27 at the Pontotoc Center in Fulton.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, along with consulting firm Parsons Brinckerhoff, has assembled a project team to update the Kentucky Statewide Rail Plan. The policy document details freight and rail passenger operations and trends in Kentucky.

The meeting will be 4-7 p.m.  People can drop by anytime. The center is at 112 E. State Line St.

The purpose of the meeting is to gather feedback about rail transportation issues and needs in the state.   The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, along with Parsons Brinckerhoff, will share information regarding the rail plan, including identified issues and goals.
