Staff report

In the Thursday, Feb. 6, edition of the Sun, a story headlined "Utilities respond to outages caused by icy weather hit" on the front page contained an error. Power initially went off near Alben Barkley Drive Tuesday night because of equipment failure. An additional outage occurred Wednesday morning when a tree fell, hit a utility pole and knocked out power for the same 350 residents. A reporter erred.
