Jennifer Mason of Kevil has been named to the President's List for the 2013 fall semester at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. Students with a perfect 4.0 grade point average are named to the President's List.

Malia King of Calvert City has been named to the Dean's List for the 2013 fall semester at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H. To qualify for the Dean's List students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours in graded courses. King, a psychology major, is a member of the class of 2014.

The following local students earned a position on the University of Evansville (Ind.) Dean's List for the 2013 fall semester: Samantha Bruce of Paducah, literature major; Maria Miller of Paducah, theatre education major; Lesley Nash of Paducah, international studies major; Madisson Turner of Metropolis, Ill., pre-physical therapy major. The students made the Dean's List by achieving at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Andrew K. Johnston of Benton, a student at Union College in Barbourville, was named to the Dean's List for the 2013 fall semester. The Dean's List at Union is comprised of undergraduates who have completed at least 15 hours of graded work with a 3.33 grade point average, no grades of incomplete for the semester and no grades of C or below for the semester.

University of Evansville (Ind.) student Samantha Bruce of Paducah, is spending the spring 2014 semester studying abroad at Harlaxton College, UE's British campus near Grantham, England. Bruce, who is majoring in literature, is among 172 students who began classes on Jan. 13 at Harlaxton, housed in a 120-room Victorian manor in the East Midlands countryside.

The following local students achieved the Honor Roll and Dean's List at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tenn., for the 2013 fall semester: Madeline Morris and Meredith Morris, both of Paducah, qualified for the Honor Roll. To qualify for the Honor Roll, a traditional undergraduate student must have completed 12 or more hours of academic work with an average of 3.70 or above with no grade below a C. Brandon Howe of Paducah achieved the Dean's List. To qualify for the Dean's List, a traditional undergraduate student must have completed 12 or more hours of academic work with an average of 3.50 to 3.69 with no grade below a C.

The following students are among 2,583 students named to the fall 2013 Dean's List at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau: Jordan Boettcher of Golconda, Ill.; Zachary Elliott of Vienna, Ill.; Charles Harner of Grand Chain, Ill.; Ashley Harris of Paducah; Raven Lanier of La Center; Sierra Senn of Paducah; Ethan Sommer of Metropolis, Ill.; Matthew Starks of Paducah; Kirsten Trambley of Vienna, Ill.; Amy Turner of Mayfield; and Hannah Weathers of Benton. Students named to the list earned at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and completed at least 12 degree credit hours during the fall session.
