Upcoming chamber breakfast features local leaders

Staff report

Local government leaders will provide their "State of the City and County" updates during the monthly Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast.

January's Power in Partnership breakfast will feature Paducah Mayor Gayle Kaler and McCracken County Judge-Executive Van Newberry as they discuss recent accomplishments and future plans and discuss the community's priority list developed for the 2014 General Assembly. Kaler is completing her first year as mayor, while Newberry is serving his second term as judge-executive.

Following the featured speakers, the breakfast will also include remarks from 2014 Board Chairwoman Deborah Edmonds; presentation of EntrePaducah's "Entrepreneur of the Month" award; and recognition of elected officials.

The Power in Partnership breakfast, sponsored by the Paducah-McCracken County Joint Sewer Agency, will be 7:30-8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Julian M. Carroll Convention Center's Ohio Room with an admittance fee of $15 for members and $25 for nonmembers.

If you are not a Power Card holder, please make your reservations to the Chamber by 5 p.m. Tuesday at 270-443-1746 or info@paducahchamber.org.
