Officers divert I-24 westbound traffic during cleanup
SARATOGA — Three people were taken to hospitals, one with serious injuries, after four tractor-trailers crashed Wednesday morning on Interstate 24 near the Ky. 293 overpass in Lyon County.
Eloyd George, 46, of Fort Collins, Colo., was driving a Saunders Trucking Company semi carrying 1,350 cases of Fat Tire beer from a Colorado brewery to Nashville, Tenn., east on I-24 when the rig made an abrupt left turn into the median, Lyon County Sheriff Kent Murphy said. It eventually crossed into the westbound lanes just west of the overpass and swerved around the concrete support to the overpass before returning to the median and flipping.
