Power usage sent through power lines or Internet
Jackson Purchase Energy workers are installing high-tech electric meters that will eliminate monthly visits to the utility’s 27,500 customers.
Meter usage for most customers will be transmitted through power lines to a central location. Others will be read through Internet connections.
