Alisa and Matthew Duncan

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - Alisa Marie Adkisson and Matthew Lynn Duncan were united in marriage July 5 in Cape Canaveral aboard the Carnival Sunshine. The Rev. Bill Adkisson officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Glenda Adkisson of Paducah.

The groom is the son of Terry and Francie Duncan of Paducah.

The bride chose Mrs. Amy Farmer of Pittsburgh as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Lauren Lynn of Paducah and Mrs. Jessica Adkisson of Staten Island, New York. Serving as flower girls were Miss Olivia Farmer and Miss Riley Farmer, daughters of Ryan and Amy Farmer of Pittsburgh; and Miss Hailey Adkisson, daughter of Logan and Jessica Adkisson of Staten Island. Serving as ringbearers were Reece Nabors, son of Kayla Moore and Cole Nabors of Nashville, Tennessee; and Peyton Adkisson, son of Logan and Jessica Adkisson.

The groom chose Alex Roman of St. Louis as his best man. Groomsmen were Beau Woodall of Nashville, Tennessee, and Logan Adkisson.

A reception for the couple was held at the MG Banquet Hall in Paducah on Aug. 2.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Bluefield High School in Bluefield, West Virginia, a 2008 graduate of Carson Newman College with a bachelor's degree in child and family studies, and a 2012 graduate of Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky, with a master of arts degree in education. She is employed by McCracken County Public Schools.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School in Paducah and a 2008 graduate of Murray State University. He is employed by Republic National Distributing Co. in Louisville, Kentucky.

The couple resides in Paducah.
