Stephen and Betsy Earnest

Staff report

Betsy Anne Cooper and Stephen Ray Earnest were united in marriage May 31 at Red Hill Farm in Paducah with Roger Palmer officiating. Music was provided by Nashville, Tenn., artists Jake McMullen, guitar and vocalist; Rachael Nemiroff, vocalist; and Lauren Conklin, fiddle.

The bride is the daughter of Susan Cooper of Paducah and the late Dr. David Cooper. She is the granddaughter of Mildred Wilson of Metropolis, Ill., and the late Ellis Wilson, and the late Travis and Della Cooper.

The groom is the son of Jeff and Debbie Earnest of Corbin. He is the grandson of Lela Roaden of Corbin and the late Rev. Raymond Roaden, and the late Buster and Georgia Earnest.

The bride chose Mrs. Jillian Nyquist of Durham, N.C., as her matron of honor and Ms. Jen McNaught of Nashville, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Margaret Bailey of Nashville; Ms. Amanda Bantug of Nashville; Ms. Lindsey Carder of Paducah; Mrs. Christa Cochran of Paducah; Ms. Mikaela Hamilton Steinwedell of Nashville; Mrs. Amory Scott of Nashville; Mrs. Jessica Sills of Ashland City, Tenn.; and Mrs. Stephanie Young of Lebanon, Tenn., sister of the groom. Serving as flower girl was Miss Olivia Young, daughter of Zach and Stephanie Young of Lebanon, Tenn.

The groom chose his father as his best man. Groomsmen were Jarred Earnest of Corbin; Seth Earnest of Richmond; Nick Huddleston of Nashville; Josh Kaltenbach of Nashville; Andrew Moffett of Nashville; David Ramirez of Nashville; Aaron Wilson of Grayson; Matt Wright of Nashville; and Zach Young of Lebanon, Tenn.

Doug Gallagher of Paducah, brother of the bride, and James Nyquist of Durham, N.C., served as ushers.

A reception followed. Ms. Courtney Kassel of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Sarah Taylor of Louisville were program attendants.

The bride is a graduate of Heath High School and the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is employed by Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.

The groom is a graduate of Corbin High School and the Nashville Art Institute with a bachelor's degree in audio engineering. He works as a recording engineer and producer in Nashville.

The couple resides in Nashville.
