Dr. Justin and Amy Doom

Staff report

GATLINBURG, Tenn. - Amy Kathleen Tempus and Dr. Charles Justin Doom were united in marriage Oct. 15 at Bluff Mountain Inn in Gatlinburg with the Rev. Phillip King officiating. Music was provided by Kathleen Bailey of Cibolo, Texas, flutist and vocalist; Beth Tempus of Lebanon,  Ill., pianist and vocalist; and Alisha Bailey of New Market, Ala., guitarist and vocalist.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Roxie Tempus of Smithland, Ky.

The groom is the son of Charlie and Tana Doom of Smithland, Ky.

The bride chose Miss Erin Rosenbauer of Covington, Ky., as her maid of honor. Serving as flower girls were Miss Norah Tempus and Miss Caroline Tempus, daughters of Gary Lee and Nikki Tempus of Kettering, Ohio; and Miss Violet Tempus, daughter of Jimmy and Beth Tempus of Lebanon, Ill. Ringbearers were Christian Tempus, son of Christopher Tempus of Woodstock, Ga.; and Franklin Tempus, son of Jimmy and Beth Tempus.

The groom chose Christopher Tempus as his best man.

Receptions followed the ceremony at Bluff Mountain Inn and also Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies. Serving as guest registry attendants were Brett Loyd of Paducah, Mitul Patel of Bardstown, Ky., Sammyrose Manning of Taylor Mill, Ky., Rachel Rich and Sarah Morris, both of Louisville, Ky.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering in 2013 from the University of Louisville Speed School of Engineering. She is employed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department of Environmental Protection, Division for Air Quality, Metallurgy Section in Frankfort, Ky.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of Livingston Central High School and earned a doctor of pharmacy degree in 2011 from Sullivan University College of Pharmacy in Louisville, Ky. He is employed by Walgreen's in Lexington, Ky.

They reside in Frankfort, Ky.
