Our online feature is all about multimedia. We like to highlight stories with video, audio and any other effect that enhances and enriches reporting.

So this week we give a nod to some of the area's bands most up to date on the multimedia tip. Our only requirements were that the group have a Web site or Myspace page with video and that we knew about them.

Check out the links below to get familiar with area groups with only a click of the mouse.
And if your group has multimedia features on the Web and is feeling left out, e-mail me or give me a call at the number below and we'll get you on there.

Keep on rockin' in the cyber world.

Special D
- www.speciald.net
- The Christian rock quartet out of Hopkinsville has a professionally edited video with live concert and backstage footage featuring music from their albums. Songs from their new CD "Over and Over" due out Friday play on their speciald.net homepage.

The Al Bundys
- www.myspace.com/albundys
- Certainly not for all audiences but worth a listen to get the less conventional side of the Paducah music scene. The Paducah duo of Lazy Dave and Raunchy Ron like to perform "guerilla shows" where they plop down in various public places with a guitar and start singing their brand of dirty and explicit songs. They have video of a recent guerilla show in front of Books-A-Million bookstore in Paducah.

Bawn in the Mash
- www.bawninthemash.com
- Most recognize the name but their Myspace page could add a face for anyone not making the connection already. Clips from live performances and in-home practices appear on their Web site linked from Youtube.com.

Given
- www.myspace.com/givenband
- Hailing from the Fancy Farm area, this polished rock quartet brings a hard rock sound aged well with experience and high production quality. They have a professionally edited music video on their site that's a good indication of how far they've come.

Adam Grant & the Satisfaction
- www.myspace.com/adamgrant
- A Paducah vocalist with a revolving door of backing musicians make up a collection of alternative rockers with a Southern edge. Check out the video of the group's free show about half a year ago in the FYE music store in the Kentucky Oaks Mall.

Kelsey Waldon
- www.myspace.com/kelseywaldon
- An area singer/songwriter that hit the road to Nashville back in September last year. Before she hopped town Waldon played a show in Murray, Ky. as part of the Lovett Live series and has video from the concert on her Myspace page.

The Bloom
- www.myspace.com/blooming music
- Somewhere along the lines of what Special D and Given are doing, this quartet brings Christian rock an edge and originality with hard rock. They've got an edited music video that's worth a watch.

Jamie Pigg
- www.myspace.com/jamiepigg
- A punk rock show performed acoustically by one guy. That's the most concise description one can give but to fully understand Pigg's performances, they must be seen. He's got a few on video on the Myspace page.
