I love a Piano
Off-Broadway tribute to Irving Berlin plays at Paducah's WKCTC tonight
Read about it in Thursday's Current

Online Exclusive
Every now and again area bands put up some good online material worth checking out. Catch these video clips and songs.

Bawn in the Mash
Visit www.bawninthemash.com and I recommend selecting their YouTube video where they play "Long Hot Summer Days." Great song and nice solos from Paducah's progressive string band.

Tony Foo Yong
The man behind the beats and house music scene in western Kentucky offers some tracks free and online.

This song samples Michael Jackson and gives a sense of his up-tempo style. Other songs are on his MySpace at myspace.com/cosmicvibeallianceky.

Also read about his two shows Nov. 28 and 29 "Get Down" and "Get Up." They'll be featured in next week's Current.

Tabatha
Anyone who has being involved with or known a stubborn country woman should listen to Tabatha Rowland's "Stubborn."

Hear it at myspace.com/tabbiandsouthernfryd

Ken-Bar
The Ken-Bar Lodge in Gilbertsville is home to folk rocker Craig Russell on Thursday nights, which is enough for a thumbs up from Current. But their MySpace keeps you updated on shows and festivals coming through and is worth checking before the weekend.

Go to www.myspace.com/kenbarlodge

Hooper
Google Hooper Booking and Promotions. Many things local music, with an emphasis on punk and rock, flow through Paducah's young promoter, who likes to go by the solitary name, Hooper.

If you're looking for a local band or browsing for ones you may not know of, him and his site are for you.
