LEDBETTER, Ky. — James Carroll Reid, 71, of Ledbetter died at 8:06 p.m. Sunday at his home.

He was a retired groundskeeper for the city of Clarksville, Tenn., and a member of Ledbetter Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Janella Thorning Reid; three children, Kerry Thompson of Paducah, and Toni Emerson and Krista Mallory, both of Benton; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Florence Glasgo Reid; and one brother.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah with David Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in Land Between the Lakes.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home on Wednesday.
