Patsy D. Woods, 90, of Paducah died at 12:01 a.m. Monday at Lourdes hospital.

She was a native of Louisville, a graduate of the University of Kentucky and retired from the Kentucky Cabinet of Human Resources. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and Suburban Garden Club and a volunteer at Market House and the quilt museum.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Charles Woods; one daughter, Elizabeth Woods of Paducah; three sons, Charles L. Woods III of Louisville, and Dr. James M. Woods and William A. Woods, both of Paducah; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Thurman and Elizabeth Mercer Drane, and one sister.

A Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the St. Mary’s School System, 1243 Elmdale Road, Paducah, KY 42003; or American Red Cross, Paducah Chapter, 232 N. Eighth St., Paducah, KY 42001.
