LA CENTER, Ky. — Victor Denton Jr. of La Center, Ky., died Sunday evening at his home at 8:55 p.m. He was 80 years old.

Victor graduated from Ballard County High School in 1947. He was an Army Veteran. He was a member of La Center Christian Church, where he was an Emeritus Elder. He was a member of American Legion Post #3. Victor served on the Board of Directors of the La Center Rural Fire Department for several years. He retired from Dairy Farming and Rural Mail Service.

Victor is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Louise Kraps Denton of La Center; two sons, Kevin Denton and wife Debbie of Horse Cave, Ky., and Kreg Denton and wife Bethany of Boaz, Ky.; one daughter, Vicki Gough and husband Jeff of La Center; one brother, Warren Denton of Titusville, Fla.; seven grandchildren, David Denton and wife Lori of Frankfort, Ky., Julie Denton of Bowling Green, Ky., Ryan Denton of Bowling Green, Ky., Jordan and Tyler Gough of La Center, and Anna and Abbie Denton of Bandana; and two great-grandchildren, Ella Grace Denton and Carter Chase Denton.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Derward Denton and Hilary Denton, and his parents Paulette and Victor Denton Sr.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center. Rev. Dean Ross and Rev. Kevin Denton will officiate. Interment will follow at La Center Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center, Ky.
