Barbara Jeanne Goodman Knight, age 72, of Paducah passed away at 5:12 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2009, at the Western Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. Knight was a native of Paducah. She was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, and she also attended the Eastside Holiness Church. She was a 1955 Graduate of the St. Mary’s Academy.

Mrs. Knight is survived by her daughter, Teresa Matthews and husband William of Paducah; one sister, Mary Katherine Koontz-Sanders and husband Wayne of Paducah; one brother, Robert Allan Goodman of Paducah; three grandchildren, Kelly Jo Denson and husband Kristopher of Paducah, James Edward Matthews and wife Melissa of Paducah, and Brett Wayne Matthews of Dilley, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Remee Alanna Denson, Isabelle Rose Denson and James Robert Matthews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Knight; one son, Edward Earl Knight; and one sister. Her parents were Raymond Earl Goodman and Mary Josephine Merryman.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at 12 noon at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Father Brian Roby officiating. Burial will follow in the Concrete Cemetery in Graves County.

A Prayer Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Keeling Family Funeral Home, where friends may visit the family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
