KUTTAWA, Ky. — Roy E. Gray, 85, of Kuttawa died at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday at Hilltop Nursing Home in Kuttawa.

He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was a retired chemical and small equipment operator at Pennwalt in Calvert City. He was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran who served with the occupation forces in Germany following World War II.

He is survived by three sons, Rodney E. Gray of Grand Rivers, Keith E. Gray of Franklin, Tenn., and Tony Gray of Benton; two sisters, Sybil Knoth of Kuttawa and Wanda Fleming of La Grange; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Farley Gray; one son, Dean Gray; one grandson, Dustin K. Gray; and one brother. His parents were Lucian and Hattie Walters Gray.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Kuttawa Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Gill will officiate.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday and until 10:30 a.m. Friday at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville.
