BROOKPORT, Ill. — Graveside and burial services for RueVena Helen Harris, age 58, of rural Pope County will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10. 2008, at Hastings Cemetery in Pope County with Brother Encil Edmonds and Brother Mike Hunt officiating.

Mrs. Harris died at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at her home.

She was born June 3, 1949, in Calloway County, Ky., the daughter of the late George and Mary Hart Adams. She married Harlen Eugene Harris on Jan. 6, 1969. He also preceded her in death on July 12, 2002.

RueVena is survived by two daughters, Angelia Alexander and husband, Eric, of Brookport and Sheila Barger and husband, Cord, of Brookport; one son, Keith Harris of Metropolis; two stepsons, Randy Harris and wife, Teresa, of Metropolis and Jeff Harris and wife, Mabel, of Brookport; one sister, Druella Hopkins and husband, Bobby, of Water Valley, Ky.; two brothers, George Adams of Metropolis and Doyle Adams and wife, Diane, of Kissimmee, Fla.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three nieces; and one nephew.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Aikins-Farmer Brookport Chapel.

Pallbearers: Randy Harris, Jeffery Harris, Eric Alexander, Cord Barger, Jimmy Harris and Jim Bob Harris.

Honorary pallbearers: Cody Harris and Kegan Barger.
